Your files stay on your device

When you use a tool on UploadFree, the files you choose are read and processed by code running in your browser tab. Where your browser supports it, the work happens in a background Web Worker on your device. The file contents, file names, previews and image or document metadata are not sent to our servers or to anyone else.

This is a static website: our servers only deliver pages, scripts, styles and fonts. There is no upload endpoint and no server-side processing. As an extra safeguard, the production site declares a Content Security Policy that only allows the page to open network connections to this site’s own address.

Results you create are held in your browser’s memory until you remove them, reset the tool, or close or leave the page. Downloads are saved by your browser directly to your device.

What still uses the network

Loading the website itself requires network requests. Like almost every website, the hosting infrastructure that serves these pages may automatically record standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These records are about page requests, not about the files you process, which never leave your device.

Fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This version of UploadFree does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking scripts, and does not show advertising. The image tools may remember your chosen settings (such as quality and output format) in your browser’s local storage so they are ready next time. That information stays in your browser; you can clear it at any time through your browser’s site data settings.

If we add advertising or analytics in the future, we will update this policy before doing so and ask for your consent where the law requires it. Any such services would only ever see page-visit information, never the contents of your files.

Children

UploadFree is a general-purpose tool site and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
